Soft SKU Licensing for Factory using QPM-CLI

Soft-SKU support for factory users is provided with the Qualcomm® Package Manager 3 Command-line Interface, or qpm-cli. Soft Sku provides the ability to configure hardware through licenses. The same chipset and software can be used for multiple SKUs.

There are two types of licenses: Platform based and Device based. The Platform based license facilitates a license being used across multiple devices. The device based license facilitates a license signed by a device key that can only be used on that device. The main goal is to minimize impact to manufacturing process.

This is currently supported on Windows and validated on Windows 10.

Soft SKU Factory Sequence using QPM3

Windows

Online computer should have qpm3 desktop version installed from qpm.qualcomm.com. Installation process, instructions and help can be found in the help section of qpm.qualcomm.com.

Command:

qpm-cli --get-device-certificate --feature-name < Feature Name > --shared-dir <Shared Directory>

This generates device certificates from the attestation report and saves them inside certs folder for that device. This can be done per device or list of devices in a directory.
